Liverpool were restless in their waves of attack which continued amounting to nothing despite them deploying every possible strategy to get that leveler.
The leveler came after great work saw Curtis Jones making things 1-1 with a wonderful goal that came in the 68th minutes as they progressed.
Another one came in the 71st minutes from Cody Gakpo made sure the Reds were in front with things turning 2-1 with still more to play.
Liverpool claimed a much needed and deserved first leg victory 2-1 against Fulham putting themselves one leg into the Carabao Cup final.
