FT: Real Madrid 5-3 Atletico, Blancos REACH Super Cup FINAL In Madrid DERBY! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid played each other to a 5-3 victory booking the Super Cup final after extra time, MySportDab reports.

The Madrid Derby was entertaining as both teams made sure they gave their fans something to celebrate all through.

Antoine Griezmann was able to set a record of becoming the highest goal scorer in the history of his club after the game.

It was goal after goal in the first half which both teams had answers for themselves and also entertained their fans who came out in numbers.

Mario Hermoso set things going for Atletico Madrid who took the lead very early in the 7th minute making things 0-1 as they carried on.

Real Madrid made a comeback which happened in the 20th minute with Antonio Rudiger coming in to make it count ensuring his side leveled things 1-1.

It was yet another goal which this time was for the home side which was scored by another defender Ferland who made things 2-1 with a good finish in the 30th minute.

Antoine Griezmann scored a stunner which came in the 37th minute from another wonderful display ensuring things went back to level terms 2-2 as they moved on.

Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid had to go in for the break on level terms 2-2 after a pulsating 45 minutes of action which provided four goals in total from both ends.

The second half was more of the same evenly balanced game in which they both had their moments resulting in goals.

Real Madrid well solid pushing with all they had but were forced to go down behind again in the 79th minute after Kepa Arrizabalaga conceded an own-goal to make it 2-3.

Atletico Madrid did not celebrate too much as the scoreline was leveled once again with Dani Carvajal making sure he scored in the 86th minute to make it 3-3.

They headed for extra time which saw more action as the home side took the lead once against after Savic own goal making things 4-3 in the 116th minute.

Real Madrid claimed the victory 5-3 with Brahim Diaz’s late goal which saw them advancing to the Super Cup final after beating Atletico Madrid in the semis.
