Manchester United will be without 12 players as they prepare for a crunch Premier League tie against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, MySportDab reports.
Manchester United confirmed the list of major absentees ahead of the match based on the squad update during the Wigan match.
Leading the list of players who are set to miss the clash is Casemiro. As per United’s team update, Casemiro has been back to training with Manchester United but may not be ready for action as the club doesn’t want to rush them into action.
Lisandro Martinez is also back on the grass after a lengthy injury layoff but is set to miss the match as he continues on his full recovery.
Harry Maguire, who has been ruled out of action for weeks, is also a major doubt for the match. He is reportedly back to training but isn’t ready for action.
Another two major absentees from the squad is Anthony Martial, who is said to be struggling with illness while Victor Lindelof is battling with a groin issue.
United are still set to miss left-back Tyrell Malacia who is still on the sidelines following his lengthy injury layoff.
Fiorentina loanee to the club Sofyan Amrabat has joined up with Morocco national team for 2023 AFCON and will miss the clash.
Andre Onana delayed his linkup with Cameroon national team for AFCON after Cameroon FA listened to pleas from Manchester United to have the goalkeeper keep the sticks for the club in two more matches.
Onana has played one game against Wigan since the delay but Manchester United have confirmed they are yet to ascertain whether he will be available for Tottenham match as well.
Amad Diallo has joined Ivory Coast for the tournament while Hannibal Mejbri has linked up with Tunisia for the tournament as well.
Tottenham are also set to miss their captain and key man Son Heung-Min who has joined South Korea national team for Asian Cup.
