Manchester United Manager, Erik ten Hag, has reacted to boos by Manchester United fans after the club suffered a shock home defeat to Crystal Palace on Premier League matchday 7, MySportDab reports.

United went into the game with two straight wins – a Premier League win over Brighton and League Cup over Crystal Palace.

ten Hag was expected to build on his recent gains after an abysmal start by completing a back-to-back win over Crystal Palace but the Red Devils ended up slumping to a narrow 1-0 defeat in front of their home fans.

Andersen’s first half strike was enough to avenge the Bees Carabao Cup defeat to Manchester United at same venue in the midweek as the Roy Hodgson-led boys defied the odds to secure the win.

It was another cringe performance by Manchester United at Old Trafford that eroded their recent gains, leaving ten Hag with a lot to do to return the team to winning ways.

Manchester United fans booed the team after the match, expressing their dissatisfaction with the poor performance.

Reacting to the boos by fans and the performance of the team after Erik ten Hag said he understood the fans and the team fell below expectations.

“I understand the fans want a good result and there must be consistency.

“Yes, we didn’t perform well today and would have done more and win the game. You need to be consistent and be up to standard,” ten Hag said in post match press conference.

Following the defeat, Manchester United have now lost four of their first seven Premier League games this season and it is their worst start to a Premier League campaign in 34 years.

They will play host to Turkish Champions Galatasaray at Old Trafford in Champions League and will hope to overturn the poor run of results with a win
