Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has now revealed the man he believes should get the job, MySportDab reports.

Sir Alex Ferguson believes that Mauricio Pochettino has all the managerial skills to perform at Old Trafford.

Manchester United are still in search for their next permanent manager.

Pochettino is no doubt one of the frontrunners to take over the Manchester United job this summer.

He was heavily linked with replacing former Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in November.

The Argentine was ready to join United in the middle of the season but Paris Saint-Germain rejected any offer.

However, Pochettino is still at the top of the list with Ajax Coach Erik ten Hag.

United football director John Murtough confirmed that plans for a new manager have started.

“Consistency is very important as we want a top-four finish this season,” Murtough said.

“To be clear, the ultimate objective for Manchester United is to be challenging for the top trophies.

“We are now going thorough a process for the appointment of a new manager who will take charge this summer.”

Despite the fact Pochettino has won only two trophies during his managerial career, he has Premier League experience.

He performed well at Tottenham Hotspur and later got sacked in November 2019.

“Well, Pochettino has been fantastic,” Ferguson said back in April 2016.

“They have had some bad managers before.

“But, this lad is different from the ones before, he has composure. The way his team play is a testimony to the work he’s doing.

“A crucial factor in English football is how many English and young players are in the club. He understands the idea of playing young people.

“They have been fantastic. Alli, Mason, Dier, Kane are all English players.”
