Chelsea played a 1-1 draw against Liverpool in the opening game of the Premier League 2023-24 campaign, MySportDab reports.
They both came in hot scoring goals with VAR coming to make some calls which saw it affecting both teams going forward.
Axel Disasi was able to make his debut a memorable one after scoring the leveler for the Blues who went on playing a draw.
Stamford Bridge came to life as the Blues opened their Premier League season against the Reds which was a renewal of rivalries.
Chelsea came in strong pushing forward but it was the away side who scored the opening goal which came from Luis Diaz to make it 0-1 in the 18th minutes.
Liverpool scored another goal which came in the 29th minutes from Mohammed Salah which was called back for offside by VAR to keep things 0-1.
The Blues soon found the leveler after a goal which came through new signing Axel Disasi as the scoreline became 1-1 in the 37th minutes of the match.
Another goal followed in from Ben Chilwell in the 39th minutes which had to be checked by VAR which eventually ruled it as an offside once again in the game.
Nothing could change matters as Chelsea and Liverpool headed for the break with the scoreline staying 1-1 after 45 minutes played between them for the day.
The action resumed in the second half with a lot more coming from both teams who pushed with everything they had on the pitch and bench.
Chelsea continued to boss play while they saw more of the ball pushing to see if they can make anything good from the game which was balanced.
Liverpool were well organized as the game continue to push on between them but nothing else could come out from them despite the opportunities.
The match came to an end with Chelsea playing a 1-1 draw with Liverpool who gave them a good account of themselves moving forward.
