Arsenal have agreed terms with David Raya as they pressed on to sign the Spanish goalkeeper from Brentford this summer, MySportDab reports.
According to the Sun, the 2022/23 Premier League runners-up are just few miles away from signing David Raja, 27, having agreed personal terms with the highly-rated shotstopper.
David Raya has reportedly told Brentford he wants to leave the club this summer and has agreed to join Arsenal.
PSG are also in the race to sign the Spaniard but it is understood Arsenal are far ahead in the race having convince the former Blackburn Rovers and Southport goalie on the club’s project.
Brenford are willing to let David Raya leave this summer but are demanding a £40m from suitors before parting ways with the player.
David Raya has only a year left on his contract and could leave for free next summer without a new deal agreed with the Bees.
Raya was instrumental to Brenford’s promotion from Championships to the Premier League and has equally impressed in the Premier League.
His stellar performance for the Bees has made the 27-year-old a prime target for the highest clubs in Europe.
Arsenal are still in talks and negotiations with Brenford for David Raya and are hoping to come out with something positive.
Manchester United were also linked to David Raya but it appears that Red Devils have backed off after the signing of Andre Onana.
The Gunners will have to meet the Bees’ £40 valuation of the player to seal a deal and have to equally weather interests from rival clubs also poised to launch offers for the player.
