Former Real Madrid defender Marcelo has left a player with a career-ending injury during a match, MySportDab reports.

The defender has been making headline after the incident which happened during a game in the South American League.

Marcelo was immediately shown a red card for the challenge which could see the player career come to an end after such event.

The incident happened during a Copa Libertadores which was going down between Fluminense Vs Argentinos.

Luciano Sanchez is the victim of the injury which could leave a long lasting mark on his career.

Marcelo was trying to make a skills with his quick footwork which eventually saw him landing on Luciano Sanchez leg.

The player was already on full stretch while the former Real Madrid defender landed on him and caused a nasty break.

The occurrence was one which left many surprised as Marcelo’s supporting leg, while in mid-stride, got down laboriously on Sanchez’s leg.

The heavy landed caused a wild injury on the player which saw the leg bending it in an unnatural, inward angle.

The whole stadium were left in silence which was felt among everyone including the players on the pitch.

Marcelo was also stunned after the incident which immediately saw him stopping the game and called for the medics.

He was seen crying sadly after causing such injury to Sanchez who was left in heavy pain screaming on the pitch.

There was a red card issued later on as the medical team were already quick in carrying out their duties on handling the injured player.

The incident have left so many sending their best wishes and quick recovery for the Argentina player Luciano Sanchez.

Marcelo was also in some discomfort knowing what he had done to the player who was immediately rushed to the hospital after everything.
