Liverpool have defeated Leicester City with a convincing 4-0 victory in preseason friendly, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

It was an easy tie for Liverpool taking on the Foxes who suffered relegation in the second tier and will be plying their trade in Championships in the upcoming season.

Liverpool produced a superb performance from the start, dominating every aspect of the game as they looked set to wrap up w deserved win.

Leicester City managed to hold off the Reds for over half an hour before they finally succumbed to pressure and gave way to Liverpool’s first goal.

It was a rain of goals as Liverpool hurled in three goals in 8 minutes to take a quick 3-0 lead. Darwin Nunez scored the first goal in the 30th minute before Clark doubled the lead in the 35th minute.

Diogo Jota dropped the third punch in the 38th minute as Liverpool cruised to a comfortable 3-0 lead before the first half break.

Second Half Report 

Leicester City improved on their game in the second half trying to break the goal deadlock and cut the deficit but were still vulnerable to Liverpool’s rapid counters and threatening attacks.

The Foxes recorded less attempts and completed fewer number of passes compared to their more stronger opponents but had series of chances to reduce the deficit which was squandered.

Liverpool continue with their more dominant display but could not add to the three goal until the 64th minute when Doak netted the fourth goal to give the Reds a 4-0 lead.

Leicester made no convincing attempt to reduce the deficit as the match progress with Liverpool maintaining their 4-0 lead till the final whistle.
