Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign a new wonderkid who is undergoing his medical as of today, MySportDab reports.

Exciting developments are underway at Chelsea FC as the Premier League club has successfully secured the services of young talent Lesley Ugochukwu from Stade Rennais.

The 19-year-old midfielder’s move to Stamford Bridge has been finalized after he underwent a successful medical with the London side.

Reports from Le Parisien confirm that Chelsea wasted no time in negotiations, quickly reaching a €30 million agreement with Rennes to secure the promising Frenchman’s signature.

The deal comes amidst interest from other clubs, including West Ham United, but Chelsea’s swift actions allowed them to secure the talented youngster.

Ugochukwu showcased his potential during the previous season, making 26 appearances in Ligue 1 for Rennes.

His performances caught the attention of several top clubs, and Chelsea was quick to capitalize on the opportunity to add the young midfielder to their ranks.

According to Le Parisien journalist Benjamin Quarez, the France youth international has already undergone his medical in London and is set to sign his contract with the Blues in the coming hours, making the move official.

While Ugochukwu’s transfer to Chelsea appears imminent, there is some uncertainty regarding his immediate future.

RMC Sport reported that the talented midfielder might spend the upcoming season in Ligue 1, joining Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace, a club also owned by BlueCo, the parent company of Chelsea.

All eyes will be on the official contract signing and the subsequent decision on Ugochukwu’s potential loan move to Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace.

One thing is certain, though – Chelsea has secured a promising talent for the future, and Ugochukwu’s journey at Stamford Bridge is poised to begin.
