A third bid coming from a US-based group to take over Manchester United has Ben confirmed, MySportDab reports.

Manchester United has been up for sale since last November following the decision of the Glazers to hand off the reins after 18 years of ownership.

The Glazers’ decision to finally put up the club for sale followed a myriad of protests and calls by Man United fans for them to quit.

Raine Group were asked by the Glazers to oversee the sale process and transfer of ownership.

A ‘soft February 17 deadline’ to mob up offers for the club from potential bidders was set by the group.

After the ‘soft February deadline,’ it was confirmed there were two clear takeover bids for Manchester United.

UK billionaire and investor Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Qatari Sheikh Al-Thani were leading the race to take over the club and had submitted offers.

However, a short hitch was reported in the takeover process after reports emerged the Glazers family were split on a post-sale plan.

Meanwhile, Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Al-Thani were not contacted weeks after submitting their offers for the club.

Now, the takeover process has entered an advanced stage with Raine Group finally summoning bidders for takeover talks.

Ratcliffe and Sheikh Al-Thani were the two known takeover bidders for the club but now, the Sun has confirmed a third takeover bid has been submitted by a US-based group.

The group is yet to be identified neither their off detail but the report adds Raine Group has invited the third bidders for the takeover talks also.

However, there are some concerns about the takeover process despite the summoned talks by Raine Group.

It has been confirmed non of the offers made so far has matched the Glazers’ £6bn valuation of the club.

Also, two key members of the Glazers family – Avram Glazer and Joel Glazer are undecided whether to sell the club or not since offers made so far are below their valuation of the club.
