Manchester United’s squad for the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle has now been confirmed, MySportDab reports.

Marcus Rashford has travelled with his teammates to London for the League Cup final this evening.

The man in form suffered an ankle injury in United’s Europa League play-off win over Barcelona on Thursday.

He is currently United’s top goalscorer this season with 24 goals and that is his best tally in years.

United medical staffs checked the extent of the injury yesterday and today and the 25-year-old is in the travelling squad.

When asked about Rashford on Friday, Ten Hag said: “I don’t know for now.

“We have to do investigations, and the medical. So after a game you can’t say, you have to wait for a 100 per cent diagnosis. So let’s wait and see.”

Manchester United took a train at Stockport station on Saturday before Sunday’s 4.30pm kick-off at Wembley.

If Rashford is available, Ten Hag could have to drop Wout Weghorst for a winger this evening.

Weghorst was taken off at half-time against Barcelona in midweek and scored United’s winner in the Europa League.

Donny van de Beek and Christian Eriksen remain unavailable, including Anthony Martial due to injury.

United can select 12 substitutes in Europa League matches but can only have nine on the bench for the final.

Manchester United Travelling Squad:

De Gea, Shaw, Heaton, Fred, Butland, Rashford, Dalot, Wan-Bissaka, Antony, Varane, Martinez, Lindelof, Weghorst, Maguire, Sancho, Malacia, Casemiro, McTominay, Sabitzer, Elanga, Fernandes, Garnacho.
