Barcelona have confirmed Andreas Christenson’s injury in the Group C Champions League clash against Serie A giants, MySportDab reports.

Another injury crisis has hit Barcelona as former Chelsea star, and Denmark international Andreas Christenson has been confirmed among Barcelona’s injury list by the club.

Andreas Christenson is the third player to be added to the Barcelona injury list after he had to be substituted in the Champions League on Tuesday against Inter Milan.

Andreas’ injury is the third injury Barcelona has recorded among its defenders in less than 14 days.

The likes of Jules Kounde and Ronald Araujo have also sustained injuries, severely depleting Xavi’s options in the break.

Xavi had to replace Christenson, who had to limp off after appearing to have suffered an ankle injury.

Before the 2022 World Cup, Barcelona has a strict schedule of games, and the scary injury stats at the position will definitely affect the squad.

Barcelona, currently at the La Liga table, faces Real Madrid in a much anticipated El Clasico encounter.

They will then host Inter Milan in the return leg of the Group C Champions League clash in Camp Nou.

The game is a make-or-mar encounter that can foreclose any possibility of making it out of Group C.

The Catalans are third with just three points after three matches and will need to defeat Inter Milan to stand any chance of making it from the club.
