Manchester United returned from Moldova with shocking food poisoning and players in the squad are affected, MySportDab reports.

United secured a 2-0 win in the Europa League against FC Sheriff on Thursday night.

Goals from Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo saw Erik ten Hag’s return to winning ways after losing against Real Sociedad.

However, According to The Sun, everything has gone wrong as 12 players in the travelling party feel ill upon arrival in England on Friday morning.

United returned from Chisinau on a private jet after the match, but still some players picked up an unknown illness.

MySportDab understands that it could be from something they ate.

A few players missed Friday’s training session at Carrington, and some were still too sick to leave their homes.

Thankfully for Ten Hag, Manchester United don’t have any games again until after the international break.

United’s game against Leeds was postponed due to the Queen’s state funeral at Westminster Abbey.

The illness has not stopped any of United’s players from joining their national teams for the international break.

Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw make Gareth Southgate’s England Squad for the games against Italy and Germany.

Ten Hag is planning to use the international break to improve work on the training pitch.

“It’s very good. We have many plans on how to improve the structures in and around the club.”

Manchester United have a stern test after the break, as they travel to play Manchester City on October 2nd.
