Real Madrid star Vinicius jr has replied Atletico Madrid fans’ racist chants at the Metropolitan Stadium during the Madrid Derby, MySportDab reports.
The Brazil youngster sent a simple and short message through his Twitter after the Madrid derby with the caption, “Dance wherever you want.” in Spanish, tagging the post with the picture of his dance with Rodrygo after Real Madrid scored the first goal.
Vinicius jr had to keep his focus during the heated derby as chants of racial abuses could be heard even during the match.
Before the kickoff, Atletico Madrid fans were seen in a viral video lashing at Vinicius jr before the match.
They all chorused in Spanish, “Vinicius, you are a monkey,” outside the Metropolitan Stadium before the match.
Atletico Madrid captain Koke had advised Vinicius to stop dancing if he scores a goal in the Madrid derby to avoid those racial abuses.
Vinicius did not adhere to such advice, which he must have considered ill-conceived in the wake of Pedro Bravo’s comment on Spanish Television.
When Rodrygo scored his first goal for the Los Blancos in the derby, Vinicius Jr repeated his dance and dropped posts to reply Atletico Madrid fans, who equally yelled racial abuses at him.
Goals from Rodrygo and Valverde ensure that the Los Blancos canceled Hermoso’s late second-half consolation goal.
The victory at Metropolitano Stadium meant that the 2021/22 La Liga Champions have now won nine out of nine games to regain the top spot in the La Liga table.
Barcelona is second on the table after securing eight straight wins after an opening match barren draw.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid has instructed their legal team to take decisive action against those hauling racial abuse won’t their 24-year-old forward
