First Half Report

The first half was cagey between them as a lot of opportunities was seen between them going forward and they was also some good defending.

Chelsea started well in their new four man defense which is different from how they have been playing since Thomas Tuchel took over and it wasn’t an easy one for them.

RB Salzburg were also in their good form making sure there was nothing breaking them down as they put up a solid wall which was formidable and everything working well.

The Premier League side had numerous amounts of opportunities, but nothing seemed to be working for them as the match continued with a lot coming through for them.

The first half of the encounter came to an end with Chelsea being held to a 0-0 goalless draw against RB Salzburg after 45 minutes of football which was played between them for the night.

Second Half Report

The second half was tighter between them as nothing could separate them in the early stages of the remaining 45 minutes, which was vital.

Chelsea was still the better of both teams, but they couldn’t make anything happen to play against a side that had everything working in their defense.

Salzburg could only hold on until the 48th minute of the game, which saw Mason Mount setting up Raheem Sterling, who was able to finish off neatly to make it 1-0 for the home side.

A goal from Noah Okafor made sure the away side pulled back level 1-1 in the 75th minute after a good teamwork efforts saw them making a comeback in the game.

That goal made sure the match came to an end with Chelsea playing a 1-1 draw against Salzburg after 90 minutes of football played between them.
