WAFCON 2022: Senegal 2-0 Uganda (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Senegal Women kicked off their WAFCON 2022 with a 2-0 win against Uganda, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

It was a beautiful first-half encounter with the Senegalese Women dominating play moving forward with so much coming from them.

Uganda Women were able to hold their ground as the game was looking intense with so many battles happening in front of their defense.

Senegal continued doing most of the pressing but couldn’t find a way of scoring the opening goal as the match carried on with so many opportunities seen between them.

The away side for the encounter had to deal with so much pressure, which resulted in them committing an error that led to a penalty being awarded again.

Ndeye Awa Diakhate made it count from the penalty spot in the 39th minute of the encounter, making it 1-0 for the home side of the game.

That goal was enough to see the first half ending with Senegal 1-0 Uganda after 45 minutes played between them in the WAFCON tournament.

Second Half Report

The second half was more like it was in the first 45 minutes, which saw the Senegalese Women dominating play with so much coming from them.

Senegal continued with their dominance which paid off in the 50th minute of the encounter as Nguenar doubled the advantage making the scoreline 2-0.

The game cooled off as Uganda tightened their defense to ensure they did not concede more while they committed more bodies forward, looking to make something happen.

The away side for the game looked more comfortable after conceding those two goals, which came off errors they could have stopped from happening.

The game continued with nothing happening except wasted opportunities that could have easily resulted in another goal being scored.

The game ended with Senegal women claiming all three points with a 2-0 win against Uganda after 90 minutes played in the WAFCON 2022.
