Cody Gakpo Reacts ‘I Spoke With Ten Hag’ Over Man United Move [Details]

PSV player Cody Gakpo has reacted to his move to Manchester United which almost happened in the summer window, MySportDab reports.

The Netherlands was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United following the arrival of Erik Ten Hag in the summer window which didn’t play out for him.

The move for Cody Gakpo is still not yet off as there are more possibilities of the move happening when the winter window opens in January.

The Winger has been one of the best players from last season till date in the Dutch League which have put him on the market for a possible move.

Manchester United were not just the only team who wanted to sign the 23 years old player, the likes of Leeds United were also said to want a move.

Cody Gakpo has reacted that he almost joined the Premier League side Manchester United in the summer with talks already happened between him and Erik Ten Hag.

Reports coming through from Fabrizio Romano confirmed what the player had to say following his failed move to Old Trafford during the summer window.

Here Is What Was Said:

“I was close to leaving PSV. I spoke to Erik ten Hag a few times at Manchester United, in the end the deal didn’t go through… and it was a shame”, tells The Times.

“Manchester United is one of the biggest clubs in the world”.

“Manchester United talks ended about a week before the end of the transfer window.

So in that final week I had to decide if I would go to Southampton or Leeds”, tells The Times.

“In the end I stayed at PSV, yes – but it was a stressful period!”.

Cody Gakpo will still be hoping Manchester United revive their interest during the winter window as he could consider making the move this time.
