Liverpool have reached verbal agreement to sign Benfica striker Darwin Nunez in the coming days, MySportDab reports.
Darwin Nunez negotiations has been going on in the last 48 hours between Liverpool and Benfica who later reached an agreement to make it happen.
The striker is expected to sign a five years contract which will keep him off the transfer market for a very long time as he seen as Sadio Mane’s replacement.
The move is to make sure Liverpool fills up space for any potential exit which at expected to happen this summer for either Sadio Mane or Mohamed Salah.
Reports are claiming the Senegalese are on the verge of replacing Robert Lewandowski at Bayern Munich with the Polish man set to join Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah is also exploring the opportunity of making a move to another English Premier League side this summer window which could happen.
Liverpool has failed to reach an agreement to extend his contract which was also the same issue with Sadio Mane who is now expected to move elsewhere.
