First Half Report
The first half was filled with so many opportunities which led to goals being scored by the home team who had everything their way.
Portugal started the game well as the better between both teams who were looking to open the goal scoring but failed to make anything happen which didn’t come through.
It was looking evenly balanced until Joao Cancelo scored in the 33rd minute of the game to make it 1-0 against the Czech Republic, it was thanks to an assist from Bernardo Silva which was finished off neatly.
The match continued going forward after that goal with more of the opportunities coming through with so much needed to be done by the side who have the lead, and they did look comfortable on their end.
Another goal in the 38th minute from Goncalo Guedes saw the scoreline increase further to 2-0 as it carried on once again with Bernardo Silva making the assistance for the finish.
That goal was the last action as the first half came to an end with Portugal taking a huge 2-0 advantage into the break against Czech Republic after 45 minutes.
