New Manchester United Erik Ten Hag is considering a shocking move for Chelsea star Mason Mount at Old Trafford, MySportDab reports.

Erik Ten Hag, who is assuming duty with much intensity as Manager at Old Trafford, is said to be interested in the 23-year-old.

According to the Sun, the Dutchman is monitoring the status and situation of Mason Mount’s contract at Stamford Bridge.

Mount had started contract talks with Chelsea, but the progress of the talks was stalled by the takeover crisis at Stamford Bridge.

Former Chelsea Roman Abramovich had reportedly fallen out with the UK government after being stripped of Chelsea ownership.

The Russian multi-billion dollar investor put up the Blues for sale and insisted on having access to the proceeds of the sale.

This stand by Abramovich was contested by the UK government, who insisted that due to the sanctions imposed on him, he must not have to access the proceeds of the Chelsea sale.

The face-off affected the Blues’ dressing room, with high ranking players poised to leave after the British government threatened not to renew Chelsea’s licence.

Chelsea’s takeover crisis has been settled, and contract talks between Mount and the Blues will gather momentum.

However, the Sun reports that Mason Mount’s long term future with the West London club is not secure and that the 23-year-old predicament at Chelsea is not cool.

Ten Hag is said to have had a glimpse of Mount’s sterling football skills when he was on loan at Dutch Eredivisie side Vitesse.

The former Ajax manager is monitoring closely the progress and developments between Chelsea and Mount and will pursue a deal when the opportunity emerges.

MySportDab also learns that Manchester City and Liverpool are interested in the player but are keen on watching the outcome of talks between the youngster and the Blues.

Mount has been named Chelsea’s player of the year two times, but it has been revealed that he is the least paid player in Chelsea.

The England international still has two years remaining in his contract with the Blues and is earning £88,000 a week.
