The player can’t make a comeback as he is expected to now undergo a surgery that will now require him to miss the remaining of the season including the FIFA World Cup.
Chelsea have been dealt a huge blow with Ben Chilwell set to undergo surgery on his knee, according to GOAL, which isn’t looking good.
The England international set to undergo surgery on his knee ligament this week which will rule him out for a long time.

“The decision is to treat it conservatively,” Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel explained.
“The next six weeks will tell the story if he makes it and will be fully available within this six weeks, or after the six weeks or needs surgery after that.
“Now I only care about the six weeks. The first reaction of his body is very positive. Hopefully, it stays like this.
“This is the decision after all the examinations and it is a very responsible decision, there is no rush in it and no pressure.
“This is a reasonable way to do it so all the focus is on the next six weeks.”
Ben Chilwell recovery was going well as he did some light training before he was test positive for coronavirus.
The player latest test revealed some more complications which couldn’t be avoid except him going for surgery.
This news is a bad one for both the player and the club as they will have to go make another signing and he will miss next year World Cup.
