Italy claimed Euro 2020 Championship after beating England via penalties 3-2 which saw both teams playing a 1-1 draw for 120 minutes, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
It was an amazing end to end hostilities between the two countries who knocked out every one of their opponents to met in this final clash which proved much first half.
It took England just 2 minutes to get the opening goal as Manchester United defender, Luke Shaw converted from an assist from Kieran Trippier to make it 0-1 for the three lions.
The game carried on with Italy pushing with everything they have but all their efforts proved to be abortive as they couldn’t result in anything coming up as the encounter lightened up.
Nothing much except more miss opportunities and some poor form of crossing which couldn’t provide any goals with the first 45 minutes entering into added time.
The first half ended Italy 0-1 England, as the Italians who couldn’t do anything good to give them the leveler with them heading for the break.
Second Half Report
The second half was very brilliant as both teams did everything possible while going forward as the Azurri got what they needed most which saw the 45 minutes ending their way.
Italy pulled back the leveler in the 67th minute thanks to Leonardo Bonucci who made it count when it was needed the most for his side going forward.
England weren’t that bad as they also tried pushing forward with them losing to restore the lead once again, but it wasn’t going to be easy as they were bottled up very well.
The second half ended with Italy 1-1 England as the 90 minutes ended with both sides playing a draw as they headed for extra time.
Extra Time And Penalties
The extra time kicked off with some changes being done from both countries as they continued pushing to get the lead which couldn’t happen.
Some good opportunities were created but none could be converted by the two finalist who only miscalculated the final touch.
The game entered penalties and it ended with Italy 3-2 England after their 1-1 draw which sees the Azzurri winning Euro 2020 Championship.
