FT: Wolves 2-1 Chelsea, Late Neto Goal Sink BLUES! (Match Highlight)

Wolves came from one goal down to beat Chelsea 2-1 after Olivier Giroud scored the opener which late goal from Pedro Neto ensured the home side grabbed all three points, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

The first half of the encounter was evenly matched as both sides were good enough in making sure they don’t concede while attacking each other end to end with the Blues failing to do more.

Wolves caused so much trouble as they controlled ball possession in the early minutes of the game which led to them almost taking the lead from their couple of shots on target going forward in the game.

Chelsea failed to register any shot on target as they looked more relaxed going up front with Olivier Giroud unable to meet up with crosses and passes laid on him on many occasions.

The first half ended with Wolves 0-0 Chelsea as they both headed for the first 45 minutes break without scoring any goal as it was a goalless affair.

Second Half Report

The second half was entertaining as we witnessed three goals with both sides finding the back of the net thanks to a wonderful play from them going forward.

Chelsea took the lead on the 50th minute after Olivier Giroud volley home a strike to put the Blues 1-0, but Daniel Podence leveled things in the 66th minute to make it 1-1 with an outstanding goal.

Wolves almost got a penalty but VAR ruled It out but it didn’t stop them from getting the winner as Pedro Neto’s late strike was able to hand the home side the lead 2-1 with a shocking goal.

The match ended with Wolves 2-1 Chelsea as Frank Lampard side suffered back to back defeats which pushed them further below the League table in the English Premier League.
