One goal from Lionel Messi was enough to hand Argentina a 1-0 win over Ecaudor in a World Cup qualifiers match, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
The first half of the game was evenly matched as both sides were able to control the game in which one goal was recorded.
It took Lionel Messi 13 minutes to put Argentina ahead from the penalty spot which made it 1-0.
The game progressed with Ecuador giving a good account of themselves as they also tried to score.
Their goal attempts failed as the first half ended Argentina 1-0 Ecuador with both sides headed for the break.
Second Half Report
The second 45 minutes was good but failed to provide goal scoring action from both sides who were good.
Ecuador controlled play for some periods in the second 45 minutes which they also created chances but didn’t score.
Argentina also had lots to do as Lionel Messi threatened all through the game but couldn’t find the back of the net.
The match went on with the home side maintaining their lead which was almost cutback to 1-1.
Both teams saw players from their sides yellow carded in the game as they were cautioned for their aggressive play.
The match ended with Argentina 1-0 Ecuador as the home side for the game escaped with a narrow win.
