Manchester United are considering a summer bid for Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey, MySportDab reports.
Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to add an attacking talent in his squad ahead of next season, with Jadon Sancho and Jack Grealish linked with United.
However, MySportDab understands that Bailey is now a transfer target for the Red Devils.
Bayern Leverkusen value the 22-year-old at around £40m which is even cheap compared to Jadon Sancho and Jack Grealish.
The Jamaican has three years left on his current Bayern Leverkusen contract.
And due to the financial difficulties caused by the coronavirus pandemic, Bailey is being considered as a cheaper alternative.
The 22-year-old is a left-footed player, but can play with both feets and has alot of speed, which is something Solksjaer loves.
His comfort with both foots means he can play on both wings or in a central attacking position.
The fact Bailey has also previously played in the Champions League is an attraction for the United boss.
Leon Bailey has scored seven goals for Bayern Leverkusen so far this season.
The 22-year-old began his career at Genk before his transfer to Bayern Leverkusen in 2017, and has since played 110 games and scored 24 goals.
This 2019-20 season, he has suffered with from injuries that kept him out for the early part of the season, but he has scored five goals in the Bundesliga and provided two assists from just nine starts.
His best season came in 2017-18 campaign when he scored nine goals and provided six assists.
