The Dutch Eredivisie season will most likely be cancelled today and that could be good news for Hakim Ziyech, MySportDab reports.
The Dutch clubs will agree to end their season early after the government announced a ban on all major events due to the coronavirus outbreak until September 1.
With the season going to be ended, players who were meant to leave their Dutch clubs will then be free to move without any problems.
MySportDab understands Chelsea sealed a £36.6million deal with Ajax for midfielder Ziyech in February.
July 1 was confirmed as the date when Ziyech will join up with the Chelsea squad.
But it is likely that the current Premier League Season could still be on at that time, some issues will have to be sorted out.
A Premier League delay and transfer window extension may lead to further talks about when the transfer can be officially done.
Ziyech cannot play for Chelsea this season and it is unlikely that he will be asked to report for training if the Blues resume back to finish the 2019-20 season.
Chelsea are working on a particular date when the situation will be clear with Ziyech and his representatives.
Meanwhile, Eredivisie clubs will still talk on various ways for how to settle their final league positions.
