Lauren Cosgrove is an American best known as the wife of former NHL star T. J. Oshie, but her story extends far beyond being married to a Stanley Cup champion.

She was born on October 24, 1990, in Missouri, United States. Lauren Cosgrove has always preferred privacy.
She has rarely given interviews and refused to speak on her personal life or family. She attended the University of North Dakota, where much of her life changed after meeting the man who would later become her husband.
During Oshie’s rise through the NHL, Lauren quietly became one of his biggest supporters. She focused on building their family while supporting his hockey career through trades, Olympic appearances and Stanley Cup success.
Today, Lauren is better known for her dedication to family, something that has remained consistent.
TJ Oshie’s Wife
Lauren Cosgrove met T.J. Oshie in North Dakota, where they were introduced through mutual friends while Oshie was continuing his hockey career. Their friendship quickly developed into a relationship that would last for years before marriage.
As Oshie’s NHL career continued with the St. Louis Blues, the couple managed to keep much of their relationship private despite growing public attention. After dating for three years, Oshie proposed shortly before leaving to represent the United States at the 2014 Winter Olympics.
Lauren later recalled that they had been heading out for breakfast when Oshie suddenly disappeared behind her. When she turned around, he was on one knee holding an engagement ring. She immediately accepted.
Only days later, Oshie became one of the biggest stars of the Winter Olympics after his memorable shootout performance against Russia, introducing millions of sports fans to both his name and his growing family.
On July 25, 2015, Lauren and Oshie married in Minnesota surrounded by family, friends and teammates after welcoming their first daughter the previous year.
Their marriage has continued through NHL trades, playoff runs and Oshie’s eventual retirement from professional hockey.
Children
Lauren and T.J. Oshie are parents to four children. Their first daughter, Layla Grace Oshie, was born in March 2014 with gastroschisis, a congenital condition in which a baby’s intestines develop outside the body.
Doctors diagnosed the condition during Lauren’s pregnancy through an ultrasound. Shortly after birth, Layla underwent successful surgery before making a full recovery.
Oshie later described the experience as one of the most emotional moments of their lives. The couple later welcomed daughter Leni Rose, son Campbell Richard, and daughter Lucy Collins.
Throughout the years, Lauren has shared occasional family moments on social media while keeping much of her children’s lives private.
