Atletico Madrid Unveils their new signing Ademola Lookman who completes a move from Atalanta, MySportDab reports.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria forward has officially completed his move from Atalanta to Atletico Madrid for a fee around €40 million.
The forward was leaning towards a move to Fenerbahce who had an agreement but couldn’t quickly complete things.
Fenerbahce did reach an agreement but they were unable to meet the structural demands from Atalanta despite offering a better package.
Atletico Madrid came in and made numerous offers until they had a suitable one for the Nigeria who was pleased and gave the greenlight.
His medical was booked immediately as he flew in to Madrid and completed what was needed ahead of his unveiling.
The club has confirm the move for Lookman who signed a four years contract that will carry on until June 2030.
His time with Atalanta had its moments which did not go well despite helping them to the Europa League title.
He has an on field issue which saw former coach pushing him while he was subbed off from a match.
Ademola Lookman is expected to hit the ground running with Atletico Madrid who wanted him so badly that Diego Simeone made the call himself.
