Senegal claimed the Africa Cup of Nations title 2025 after beating host nation Morocco 1-0 after extra time, MySportDab reports.
It was a controversial final which saw a lot of things happened including the Senegalese walking out of the match.

Both national team knew the task at hand which was for them to claim the victory and lift the title at the end.
Many were expectant of a long final after seeing how Egypt and Nigeria played against each other which ended in penalty kick.
The game progressed until the first half came to an end with both teams settling for a 0-0 scoreline after 45 minutes.

The action resumed with both teams putting more efforts to see what they could make happen from their end.
A controversial moment came in the ending of the second half which saw a penalty being awarded to the host.
Senegal had to abandon the match before coming back to watch Brahim Diaz missed the penalty as the full 90 minutes ended 0-0.

The deciding moment came after Idrissa Gueye setup Pape Gueye who scored a beauty in the 94th minute which made sure it was 1-0.
More opportunities did come but nothing changed as Morocco lost 1-0 against Senegal who went on to claim the AFCON 2025 title.
