Manchester United are set to offer a record Premier League transfer fee to Brighton for Carlos Baleba, MySportDab reports.

The Cameroonian midfield sensation emerged as a top target for the Red Devils who are looking  to bolster their midfield options.

We understand the 21-year-old has no issues with personal terms with United and is open to joining the club this summer.

However, Brighton are reportedly not open to sanctioning his transfer exit this summer and are hopeful of tying him to a new contract amid the Red Devils’ interest.

Nevertheless, United are understood to be ready to go all out for the player.  Despite splashing over £200m on three new attacking signings this summer, they are ready to break the bank again to bring the top-rated attacking midfielder.

According to close sources, Baleba could be United’s most expensive signing in the club’s history as they prepare to offer as much as £112m for the player.

Notably, despite Brighton’s current decision not to sell the player, an offer in excess of £112m for the 21-year-old is likely to force their hand in selling the player.

Baleba is known for his intelligence, attacking prowess, positioning, and passing skills. He has been at the heart of the Brighton’s possessive play and an engine room in the midfield for the Seagulls.

A move to Man United will mark a big leap in his career and he could be the second attacking midfield addition to the team this summer after Matheus Cunha from Wolves.

United manager Ruben Amorim is said to be big fan of the player and is ready to press the button to see through the move.
