Real Madrid forward Rodrygo has taken the bull by the horns to settle his transfer future as the summer transfer window winds down, MySportDab reports.
The Brazilian attacking sensation has fallen out of favour in new Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso’s pecking order and is increasingly linked to leaving the club this summer.
He was benched throughout the team’s 2025 FIFA Club World Cup campaign and was expected to enter into talks with the club’s hierarchy to ascertain his place in the team.
At the time of filing this report, his future is still hanging on the balance with both parties yet to thrash out differences and reach a conclusion.
Amid the uncertainties, Rodrygo has decided to take a big step on his Los Blancos’career that could turn things around.
According to @indykhailanews, he has instructed his agents to reach out to Liverpool for a possible move to the club this summer.
Recall Liverpool have been on his trail as a possible attacking option this summer to replace Luis Diaz who has left to Bayern Munich.
However, the Reds temporarily marched break on their interest in him to focus on Hugo Ekitike who they have now signed from Eintracht Frankfurt for €90m.
MySportDab understands the Reds are now going all out for wantaway Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak as another priority attacking target and this is likely to affect their move for Rodrygo.
However, it is not a closed a chapter as they have reportedly told the Brazilian to hold while they push for the Isak deal, per close sources.
