Chelsea have been dealt a big blow in their chase for a top-rated Serie A forward, MySportDab reports.
Despite a crop of high-rated forward signings this summer, Enzo Maresca are understood to be pushing for more reinforcements in the attack with elite-level targets shortlisted for the role.
It’s no news that they have been on the trail of Juventus academy graduate and former Bayern Munich sensation Kenan Yildiz as a priority attacking option.
According to Transfer Live, the London outfit have tabled a £50m bid to Juventus for the player but have been turned down.
Juventus gave the Blues a firm ‘no’ for Yildiz as they consider the player key to their plans. Sources close to the Serie A giants revealed the fast-rising youngster remains key to Thiago Motta’s Juventus squad plan and is considered untouchable.
Meanwhile, it is unclear whether the reigning FIFA Club World Cup Champions will submit another bid for Yildiz.
Yildiz shone bright for Juventus last season, scoring 12 goals and providing nine assists. He has been renowned for his technical abilities and quick decision-making in the attacking third.
He recently signed a long-term contract with the club, committing to the outfit till 2029 after his breakthrough 2023 campaign.
Five of his goals came in the just-concluded 2025 FIFA Club World where he ranked among the top scorers in the competition.
Having expended over £200m in this transfer window, Chelsea are not likely to cross their £50m offer for the 20-year-old and are expected to scour the market for other alternatives.
