Morgan Rogers move to Arsenal could be completed in the coming days or weeks as they push to accelerate all talks with Aston Villa in order to reach an agreement.

With Mikel Arteta eager to build upon last season’s domestic success and push for European glory, the club’s recruitment efforts have shifted into high gear.

All attention is being turned on Morgan Rogers deal with reports earlier claiming an agreement on personal terms is already in place between the player and club.

According to reports from Fabrizio Romano, he confirmed saying: “Arsenal are now set to accelerate on Morgan Rogers deal, top target as new winger as always mentioned.

“Talks already advanced on player side and separate case from Tzolis, Arsenal always wanted both.

“No talks for Barcola so far; focus on Rogers.”

Arsenal’s interest in Rogers is not merely speculative as talks had been going on before the player departed for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Arteta has identified the left-wing position as a critical area for evolution.

While the England international has primarily functioned as a central attacking midfielder for Unai Emery at Villa, his progress in playing numerous person has put those at the Emirates on high alert.

Reports indicate that Arsenal recruitment chiefs have been captivated by the England international’s growth since his move to Aston Villa, where he has since established himself as a regular starter.

With a proven record of 31 goals and 29 assists across 125 appearances, Rogers represents the top-tier attacking reinforcement Arteta believes is necessary to sustain the club’s dominance.

The potential arrival of Rogers is closely linked to the departure of Leandro Trossard, whose exit to Turkish side Besiktas has provided the necessary financial and squad space for a high-profile pursuit.

While personal terms between Arsenal and the player’s camp are reportedly agreed upon, some sources even citing that it is an agreement of five-year deal that will run until 2031.

Aston Villa, fresh off their UEFA Europa League title-winning season, are in a position of significant leverage. The Midlands club is understood to be holding out for a valuation close to £130 million.

Meanwhile, the Gunners are expected to test the waters with opening bids closer to £100 million. Aston Villa will be hoping they can get a record-breaking fee to allow the England international make a move.

Complicating matters further is the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup. Rogers has been instrumental for England during their tournament run, playing a crucial role in their journey to the semi-finals, further increasing his value.

As Arsenal continues to reshape its roster, bolstered by the imminent arrival of Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge, the focus remains squarely on securing the final pieces of the puzzle.

Whether a deal for Rogers can be struck during or after the World Cup, the deal remains the central question for the Gunners’ faithful as they would like to see everything get completed as soon as possible.
