The Reds manager talked about Crystal Palace, which is an important game for his side, knowing the history they both shared playing against each other.

Slot said: “What makes it difficult are the players we face. Guehi, Eze and Olise have left, Olise at Bayern Munich making a good career for himself, but they have a good manager who has created good discipline in that team.

“Really hard to create chances against them. No matter what games I watch of them you watch 60 minutes and the other team haven’t created a chance.

“At other end they are very direct with good attackers going quite fast. I think they have conceded after Arsenal the least goals and there’s a reason for that.

Liverpool will be looking at making sure they snatch an important three points against Crystal Palace, who have been a thorn in their flesh over the years.

Arne Slot went on to give an update concerning Alisson’s injury, which has been a major hit to the club in their goalkeeping department, which looks thin today.

The Brazilian keeper has been battling injuries, and the Liverpool boss was also quick to give out more details concerning the situation.

He said: “We are looking at these kind of injuries he is having. Muscle injury you always look to prevent with your training programme. He’s not the only one.

“But football has changed so much, muscle injuries more and more and we all know why, the crazy schedule which to be fair i like as i can always watch a game on television every night, but for the health of the players it’s getting more and more and more.

“Maybe age plays a part but this week we saw Lamine Yamal get an injury, it’s more to do with the schedule they are playing.

The Liverpool manager also confirmed some great news concerning players making their return to playing after sitting out injured for a while.

Arne Slot is pleased with how things are going concerning recoveries, which would go a long way in helping the team finish the season stronger.

Slot confirmed saying: “Joe Gomez is back in the squad. Wataru Endo starting to go out but not with the team yet, exercises with the rehab team.

“Endo won’t be available for Man United or Chelsea but he could be back before the end of the season.
