Mason Mount on target as Chelsea played out a 1-1 draw against Southampton as the Saints proved too difficult for a poor Blues side, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
It was a closely heated first half encounter between The Saints and Blues which was entertaining with the home side scoring one goal.
Chelsea dominated play as the game progressed but they were unable to make it count as they couldn’t break down the defense of their opponent.
Southampton broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute of the encounter as Redmond setup on loan Liverpool player Minamino who made it 1-0.
The first half ended with Southampton 1-0 Chelsea as they both headed for the break with advantage to the Saints.
Second Half Report
The second 45 minutes kicked off with high pace with the Blues chasing the game as they were behind after the first half.
Southampton continued to hold things down as the attacks was still pouring in from the away side who looked dangerous.
Chelsea finally scored the leveler after Mason Mount was brought down by Danny Ings which the Blue youngster stepped up and made it 1-1.
The match finally ended with Southampton 1-1 Chelsea as Thomas Tuchel’s fails to get all three points against a struggling side.
