Cody Gakpo scored a brace as Netherlands claimed a 0-4 victory against Malta in their FIFA World Cup qualifiers, MySportDab reports.
Tijjani Reijnders and Memphis Depay both scored in the match which the Dutch national team had full control.
First Half Report
It was a one sided World Cup qualifiers which the Dutch national team made sure their opportunities counted for something.
Cody Gakpo made it 0-1 in the 12th minute after converting from the penalty spot after early pressure on Malta defence.
There wasn’t much which happen in the first half which saw the home side doing well to hold off their opponent.
It was still 0-1 after 45 minutes between them which was a decent performance from the home team.
Second Half Report
Netherlands doubled their advantage after Cody Gakpo penalty in the 49th minute which made it 0-2 and a brace for the Liverpool man.
It was going well with another goal from Tijjani Reijnders who was assisted by Gakpo which sure things increased 0-3 in the 57th minute.
It became 0-4 with another beautiful goal which was scored by Memphis Depay in the additional time with assist from Denzel Dumpfries.
Netherlands claimed three points from a 0-4 victory against Malta who were no match for their quality all through.
