Crystal Palace made history by winning their first Community Shield after beating Liverpool 3-2 on penalties after playing 2-2 draw, MySportDab reports.
It was a hard fought Community shield clash which needed more than 90 minutes to get a winner from both sides.

It was a fast paced match between both teams who opened the season with the Community Shield encounter at Wembley Stadium.
Hugo Ekitike opened the goal scoring with a stunner in the 4th minute which gifted Liverpool an early lead 0-1 thanks to Florian Writz assist.
There was more to play from both teams with Crystal Palace pulling back level through a penalty from Jean-Philippe Mateta which made it 1-1 in the 17th minute.
The game turned 1-2 after Jeremie Frimpong scored an absolute cracker which came in the 21st minute with assist from Szoboszlai.
Nothing happened between them as they finished the first 45 minutes with the Premier League Champions with a lead.
The resumption of the second half saw both managers making some adjustments to ensure their team improved on some areas.
Palace restored priorities again with a goal from Ismaila Sarr which made things 2-2 in the 71st minutes as they pushed on forward.
The 90 minutes ended with a 2-2 scoreline as both teams headed for the penalty shootout as no winner could be found.
