Crystal Palace made history by winning their first Community Shield after beating Liverpool 3-2 on penalties after playing 2-2 draw, MySportDab reports.

It was a fast paced match between both teams who opened the season with the Community Shield encounter at Wembley Stadium.

The game turned 1-2 after Jeremie Frimpong scored an absolute cracker which came in the 21st minute with assist from Szoboszlai.
Nothing happened between them as they finished the first 45 minutes with the Premier League Champions with a lead.
The resumption of the second half saw both managers making some adjustments to ensure their team improved on some areas.
Palace restored priorities again with a goal from Ismaila Sarr which made things 2-2 in the 71st minutes as they pushed on forward.
The 90 minutes ended with a 2-2 scoreline as both teams headed for the penalty shootout as no winner could be found.
