Pep Guardiola has come out to back Erling Haaland over criticism being faced for his recent form, MySportDab reports.
The Manchester City manager is currently under fire himself for the side poor run of form which have pushed them away from title challenge.
Erling Haaland has also failed to help the team in any way possible which has led to Pep Guardiola coming out to defend the striker.
The Norwegian has drop deep down when it comes to form as he continue to struggle to get the goals which used to come for him.
However Pep believe things will soon turn around for the striker as they are already working on the situation on ground.
According to Fabrizio Romano, he confirmed the comments from Pep Guardiola ahead of their next game on boxing day.

“For sure Erling is so important for us, he will be so important for us”.
“We’ll try to do things better to use him better. It’s one of our missions now”.
Pep also confirmed they won’t be any break for his team who will be in training on Christmas day before their match the following day.
Erling Haaland will hope to rediscover his goal scoring form as his place as top scorer has been overtaken by Mohamed Salah.
