Paul Pogba has received a shock football offer despite his doping ban by Italy Antidoping Tribunal, MySportDab reports.

The embattled Juventus midfielder is trudging the darkest chapters of his career after being hit with a maximum sentence of a four-year ban from all footballing activities for doping.

Pogba tested positive for testosterone in August 2023 and was charged by Italian prosecutors for doping.  With his first and second sample coming out positive, Pogba wasn’t escaping a ban but his lawyers had fought to mitigate the severity of the penalty.

There were options for a six-month ban or two years depending on whether he intentionally used the substance or not.

Pogba’s lawyers contended the former Manchester United midfielder did not intentionally used the substance but ingested it as part of the supplements that was prescribed to him by his US doctor while he was on treatment for injury.

The prosecution refused to cup ears to the claims by Pogba’s defense team , insisting that he intentionally used the substance to boost perfomance. As a result, the maximum four-year sentence was handed out.

A four-year ban would literally force out Pogba out of the business of football. His gigantic football career would come crumbling in the slow eddies of fallowed days, months, and years without action.

However, there is still hope for the French footballer. According to Tuttosports, Broke Boys – a team playing in Russia’s celebrity Media Football League – has offered Pogba £1167 monthly to play for the club.

Other luxury pecks has been attached to the offer to lure the player to the Russian League but he has reportedly turned down the offer to focus on his trial.

It is believed he could reconsider the offer just to stay active in the game should the Court of Arbitration refuse to set aside the four-year ban by the tribunal.
