The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon played out a 1-1 draw against 10-man Guinea in their AFCON 2023 opener, MySportDab reports.

It wasn’t a pleasant game for the Lions who couldn’t make much after playing most of the game with one-man advantage to them.

Things weren’t that bad for the Guineans making good despite how it was for them playing without their full team for most of the game.

There was so much both teams did in the early stages which saw them managing and making sure they had so much to offer.

Cameroon started well but along the way, in the 10th minute, they went down through a goal from Mohamed Bayo making things 0-1 as it processed.

Guinea were good and resulted in doing more defending as they did not want to see their lead chopped off immediately due to the heavy pressure being faced.

Things became bad after a red card was awarded to a Guinean in the name of Francois Kamano which came in the additional time leaving them with 10-man.

The first half ended with Guinea holding on to a 0-1 lead against Cameroon after 45 minutes of action which they both headed for the break.

There was so much in the second half which could have benefited the Cameroonians, but they couldn’t make much of their advantage.

Guinea continued hanging on to the match narrowly as they were faced with more pressure being thrown at them by the side behind.

Cameroon was able to equalize through a goal from Frank Magri who was able to make things 1-1 in the 51st minute of the encounter.

It was all about the Indomitable Lions pressing and making the opportunities which they found very hard to score another despite them seeing more of the ball.

Guinea was able to come out with one point despite their red card after playing a 1-1 draw against Cameroon which is an excellent result after 90 minutes.
