Manchester United defender Raphael Varane has broken silence on rumors linking him to a move to Saudi Arabia, MySportDab reports.

Raphael Varane’s Man United future has been on the spotlights after he lost his starting berth at the club following his return from injury.

Varane played a crucial role in Manchester United’s prolific run last season as Erik ten Hag resumed as manager in Man United dugout.

This season, he has been a shadowy figure in Man United defense struggling to regain his starting berth after returning from the sidelines.

The 2018 World Cup winner constantly cut a frustrated figure on Man United bench after his return as he dropped down Erik ten Hag’s pecking order.

There were reports he had fallen out with Erik ten Hag, making his grievances known to the Dutch gaffer as he continue sitting out on the bench.

However, there has been a reprieve of recent as he has gradually returning to the lineup in Man United defense due to Harry Maguire injury blow.

Meanwhile, before the reprieve, Varane was linked to Old Trafford exit this summer with reports linking him to Bayern Munich, including a move to Saudi Arabia.

According to L’Equipe, Raphael Varane is still uncomfortable with his backup role now at Manchester United but doesn’t want a move to Saudi Arabia.

When asked about Varane’s rumored Old Trafford exit to Saudi Arabia, his representatives said;

“It is not a subject,” as per L’Equipe.

The report adds Varane could favor a return to his former club Real Madrid, who are battling with multiple injuries at the defense.

Varane still maintains his house in Spain despite leaving Real Madrid, and has kept his relationship with his former Real Madrid teammates as well.

A move to the Santiago Bernabeu is reportedly more likely than Saudi Arabia should Real Madrid press on with their chase of the player.
