Nottingham Forest have sacked their manager Steve Cooper following a recent dismal campaign in the Premier League, MySportDab reports.

Cooper was under pressure at the dugout at City Ground after Nottingham Forest’s dwindling Premier League fortunes showed no signs of abating.

It came out worse when they suffered a heavy 5-0 loss to Fulham in the Premier League. In a rare show of solidarity, Nottingham Forest fans still applauded Cooper after the defeat to Fulham.

Sources close to the club revealed Cooper is a well-loved manager by Nottingham Forest fans after he led the team to the Premier League from Championship and kept them there.

Despite the continuous show of support by the fans, MySportDab understands Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis was not having it with Cooper and was ready to sack the English gaffer following the poor run of results.

Now, according to the BBC, Steve Cooper has been finally sacked and the club’s decision has been communicated to him.

Marinakis fears Nottingham Forest could be relegated as Steve Cooper seems to lack answers to the piling problems with the team.

Cooper has not won any of his last six  games with Nottingham Forest and have managed just a draw with five defeats.

His sack came after the weekend’s home loss to Tottenham Hotspur which further piled up the pressure on the team.

According to BBC, former Al Ittihad manager and Saudi Pro League winner Nuno Espirito Santo has been contacted by Nottingham Forest to take over from Steve Cooper.

Nuno Espirito Santo has experience in the Premier League having managed Wolves and Tottenham Hotspur before joining Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.
