Manchester City have been held to a draw by Crystal Palace at Etihad in a shocking Premier League result, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

City started the game on the front foot looking for their second consecutive Premier League win after a 2-1 victory over Luton Town in their last game.

As expected, the Premier League Champions got off to a bright start and it wasn’t long before the took the lead in the 24th minutes.

Jack Grealish scored for the home side to give City the lead thanks to a brilliant assist by Phil Foden.

After the first goal, City continued on their dominant display, effectively dominating proceedings and holding the visitors to ransom.

They came across series of chances to double the lead in the first half but ended up squandering them.

Crystal Palace tried to counter the host’s dominance with quick offensives but were contained.

The first half ended with City taking the narrow 1-0 lead into the break.

Second Half

Manchester City picked up the game from where they stopped and were still holding sway over proceedings going forward.

In the 54th minute, Lewis Hall came up clutch for the champions to make it 2-0 for the star-studded side.

Despite struggling to match their host’s dominant display, Crystal Palace made some promising advances into City’s final third when with the ball.

Against the run of play in the 74th minute, Mateta got the Eagles a lifeline goal to reduce the deficit and restore comeback hopes.

City nearly edged close to sealing a 2-1 win but conceded a stoppage-time penalty which spoiled the show for the hosts.

Oliseh stepped up and took the spotkick, converting it perfectly to even the scores to a 2-2 draw.

The match ended with Manchester City dropping points as they shared spoils with Palace after the final whistle
