Chelsea have returned to winning ways with an emphatic 2-0 Premier League win over Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge, MySportDab reports.

The Blues went into the game on the back of consecutive Premier League defeats against Manchester United and Everton.

Mauricio Pochettino needed a win against the Blades to restore fans confidence as the team struggles in the bottom half of the table.

They started the game on the front foot dominating proceedings and looking set to take the lead.

Sheffield United did little to halt Chelsea’s advance and were vulnerable when coming under Chelsea pressure.

The Blues missed series of chances but were finally able to find the back of the net twice to salvage all three points after a barren first half.

Cole Palmer broke the goal deadlock in the 54th minute to fire the home side into the lead. It was a deserved lead after a dominant display by the home side.

Sheffield United did little to mount a response and were effectively pocketed by Chelsea’s more dominant display.

Seven minutes after Cole Palmer’s goal, Nicolas Jackson added to the tally with a 61st minute strike after a blunder by Sheffield United goalkeeper.

The former Villarreal forward volleyed the ball into the back of the net after receiving a cross pass at the back post.

Chelsea continued to dominate proceedings despite going two goals up and were looking set to cruise home to victory.

Sheffield United made late efforts to find their way into the game but could not make anything happen as the Blues held on to secure all three points after the final whistle.

The win has lessen the pressure on Mauricio Pochettino who was looking for his first win after series of poor results.
