Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag was obviously incensed with his striker Anthony Martial during Man United’s 1-0 loss to Newcastle United in the Premier League, MySportDab reports.

The Magpies pegged back Man United from a a four-match unbeaten run on the domestic front at St James Park.

The first half ended barren but Newcastle United looked set to cruise to an easy win as they dominated proceedings, effectively muffling the away side with a spirited effort.

Nine minute into the second half, the Magpies finally came up clutch with a goal. Anthony Gordon beat Andre Onana with a sublime tap-in to give the home side the lead.

Despite taking the lead, the Eddie Howe-led boys were still top of their game but United put up a more impressive performance all to no avail.

Gordon’s goal was enough to hand Newcastle United a big win over Manchester United.

Erik ten Hag was unhappy with the individual performance of Anthony Martial in the game.

The Dutch remonstrated at the technical area against Anthony’s lackadaisical approach to the game, particularly when a slumber by the French striker nearly resulted in United conceding from Newcastle United’s offensive.

Miguel Almiron nearly scored from the offensive leaving ten Hag furious with Anthony Martial for not tracking back to cover up against the host’s counter attack.

Martial, who saw the Dutch fumed at him, waved his hand cynically to dismiss the Dutch’s antics and objections.

Minutes after the faceoff, Erik ten Hag had to sub off Martial in the 61st minute as United tried to fight back to level the score.

There are already speculations, Anthony Martial, who is facing an uncertain future at Old Trafford, could see himself drop off ten Hag’s starting eleven after the bust-up.

Since becoming Man United manager Erik ten Hag have fallen out with some Man United stars with Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, and Raphael Varane, making the list.
