Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is leading the list of Chelsea top transfer targets in January, MySportDab reports.

Chelsea want to add a striker to their attacking lineup in the summer to bolster the squad as they gradually wheels off a poor domestic campaign since last season.

Mauricio Pochettino is doing a great job at the Blue side of London but more needs to be done to bring the team at par with top clubs in the Premier League.

In January, the club are ready to splash more funds on new signings with a frontline attacker top on their list of possible new recruits.

Nigerian and Napoli prolific striker Victor Osimhen is said to be top on that list, as per reports from Evening Standard.

The Blues are hopeful of luring the Azzuri’s main man and 2023 Serie A Golden Boot winner to London in January.

Victor Osimhen has been optimistic of a move to the Premier League and has not played down chances of taking his prolific career to the English elite division.

Chelsea were linked to the former Lille forward since last summer, including Manchester United but they had to wrestle with Napoli’s grip on the player.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis spoke expressively of Victor Osimhen’s valuation which was in excess of £100m.

The price tag deterred Chelsea from further going down to strike a deal for the player.

However, this time, the club is reportedly ready to go all out for Victor Osimhen in January but it is still unclear whether Napoli will tone down on their valuation of the player.

Chelsea also targeting Brentford’s Ivan Toney who will be ready to return to action with his ban set to expire soon.

Also on the club’s radar is Antonio Nusa of Club Brugge in Belgian League.

Nusa, 18, is relatively a younger talent with just 7 career goals but is tipped to be one of the most promising strikers
