Arsenal have crashed out of the EFL Cup with a away defeat to West Ham United at London Stadium, MySportDab reports.

The high-flying Mikel Arteta-led side slumped to a shock defeat to the Hammers in the EFL Cup to bow out of the competition.

David Moyes perfectly got the better of the visitors with a brilliant and great attacking play that left the Gunners smashed with ease.

They had less of the ball but were clinical when launching attacks, easily ripping apart the defense of the visitors to score with ease.

Arsenal had the game under control with swathes of possession enough to punch the hosts but they struggled to create clearcut chances and wasted the few the got.

West Ham took lead few minutes into the first half with Ben White putting the ball into his own net after coming under pressure.

The Hammers ended the first half with the narrow 1-0 lead and doubled up their effort in the second half as Arsenal continue to struggle despite a dominant control of proceedings.

Few minutes into the second half, Arsenal comeback hopes were dealt a blow when Mohammed Kudus doubled lead for the Hammers.

Arsenal failed to mount a response and their woes were compounded when Jarrod Bowen sealed the win with West Ham’s third goal.

It was a gameover for the visitors as they trailed by three unreplied goals with West Ham set to progress to the next round of the competition.

Late in stoppage-time, Martin Oddegard netted Arsenal’s consolation goal as the game ended with the home side running out with a 3-1 win.

It is Arsenal’s first defeat this season after 11 matches into the campaign.
