Manchester United have been handed a double injury boost ahead of their Premier League trip to newly-promoted side, Sheffield United, MySportDab reports.

Erik ten Hag has been grappling with a worsening injury crisis this season which has had a tremendous impact on the team’s performance so far.

Before the international break, United rolled back a near-nightmare defeat at Old Trafford against Brentford.

Substitute, Scott McTominay, scored two late goals to overturn Brentford’s 1-0 lead and had United a reprieve from a winless run at Old Trafford.

The club will be expected to build on the momentum and continue on winning ways when they travel to take on Sheffield United at the weekend.

Meanwhile, United’s injury crisis have showed no signs of abating as Fiorentina loanee, Sofyan Amrabat, is now the latest name to be added to the list while on international duty with Morocco.

On the other hand, Tottenham loanee, Sergio Reguilon is likely to return for the Red Devils against Sheffield United after a brief spell on the sidelines.

Reguilon’s return will be a very big boost to Manchester United who have lost the likes of Diogo Dalot and Tyrell Malacia on wingback roles of the sidelines.

Also, according to report reaching us from Daily Mail, United have received anither big injury boost in addition to Sergio Reguilon with Raphael Varane back to training.

Varane, who has been a first-choice center-back for Erik ten Hag, missed a number of Man United games before the international break due to injury.

He is now back with the team and will likely start the match against Sheffield United in the weekend.

Other Manchester United defenders still in the sidelines include Lisandro Martinez, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Tyrell Malacia, and Diogo Dalot.

Manchester United launched investigations into the crippling injury crisis as the club hoped to reverse the trend to beef up the squad for the season.
